This tool is a collection of video segments organized into a user-friendly DVD that captures some of the key ideas and components central to improving adolescent literacy across a secondary school. The DVD contains documentary video of classroom instruction along with video commentary from experienced teachers, administrators, professional developers, and notable researchers.

User's Guide has been designed to support the instructional use of the DVD video segments on each of the four topics that make up the DVD.
The instructional support materials consist of student reading assignments, lecture notes and slides, and content processing activities.
These documents may be used as supplemental reading material when using the DVD in instruction.
These sites may be used as supplemental references when using the DVD in instruction, or provide opportunity for further interaction.
